Description of the plant:
Abelia Confetti® can be the true dwarf jewel, for instance, in the evergreen group of your front yard. It has 2-3 cm long, pointed, glossy, semi-evergreen, variegated leaves with white margins and green centres. It blooms from July until October with pale pink, funnel-shaped, tiny flowers. This variety is dwarf and tends to spread. In mild winters the foliage persists until spring which makes your garden look quite picturesque in cold months. It is slow growing, mound forming shrub that can be pruned in early spring if damaged by harsh frost. Still, it is not recommended for too cold climates. It is hardy to about -20°C with no protection, on colder days it loses leaves. Its border hardiness is about -24°C. Grow it in full sun for plenty of flowers or half-shade.
