Yarrow is a lovely perennial ideal for dry and neglected locations. This variety belongs to the SEDUCTION series comprising of 3 differently coloured plants so far: Saucy Seduction, Strawberry Seduction, and Sunny Seduction. They all occurred naturally as a mutation of Sunny Pastels variety and were found by Elisabeth Sahin-Georgiadou in her Dutch based nursery in 2003.Description of the plant:
Saucy Seduction is a not-to-be-missed yarrow with striking purple pink flowers. They are formed in flat corymbs and come out atop 40-50 cm tall stems from late June for an extended period of time, often until early September. The plant makes a compact tuft with strong and upright stems which do not open sideways. Fragrant, fern-like leaves are finely cut and rich grass green, basal leaves are larger than stem leaves. Once the main flowering has finished you can cut off the stems to encourage new growths and late summer flowering but it is not necessary. Saucy Seduction was patented as PP20782 in 2010.Yarrow is a maintenance-free perennial suitable for standard flower beds as well as dry slopes and rockeries. It tolerates a wide range of soils except for boggy and wet. Full sun is needed for profuse flowering. Fully hardy to -40°C (USDA zone 3).
