Campsis radicans 'FLAVA' trumpet creeper - STANDARD TREE

Flava belongs to the radicans group which means that its new growths may be quite long so we suggest trimming the crown early in the spring but after all frosts to maintain a good shape with strong branches. It is recommended to cut every new branch to 3 live buds. If not absolutely necessary don’t cut into old wood.
As trumpet creeper is originally a vine, it will need a support along the stem all life long. It needs limey soil and a warm and sunny spot. Its root system is quite pulpous and can accumulate water so it can stand temporary drought, so be careful with extra watering which might cause the root system to rot. All our plants are in flowering age already. It is fully hardy to -34°C (USDA zone 4).
