Description of the plant:
If you call someone a teddy bear, what is he like? Very probably nice, warm-hearted and from the first sight “safe”. This must have been the way of thinking of the breeder of this variety when he was looking for a name for his invention.Teddy Bear is a neat and lovely little conifer, a variety of Hinoki cypress with fern-like foliage. It is exactly the type of plant you want to touch every time you pass by. The colour is emerald green with soft green new growths.
It grows very slowly to about 1m and forms a certain rosette at the ground level from which new sprays come erect and slightly droop. It likes medium fertile, acidic, moist but well-drained soil. Fully hardy to -29°C (USDA zone 5).
