Coneflower series MOOODZ® comprises of compact plants showing bushy, freely branching habit. They are much easier to propagate and produce flowers instantly on very young plants. They are bred by Diony de Bont from Takii Europe and marketed by Hilverda Kooij in the Netherlands.
Description of the plant:
MOOODZ® COURAGE is another gem from the MOOODZ® coneflower series. It produces 7-8 cm large, single flowers with bright purple pink ray florets and deep maroon discs which mature to deep orange. Stems are rather short, only some 30-40 cm tall, and appear in profusion from July until October. Lanceolate leaves are deep green and grow from the ground and then up along the stems.

Coneflowers are maintenance-free perennials blooming from early or mid summer until early fall. They come out on sturdy stems that do not break in wind or heavy rain. Flowers attract butterflies and bumble bees. The plant is usually trouble-free and resistant, just be careful if slugs are present in your garden. Since coneflowers emerge quite late, often when slugs are already in their lethal strength, they could gobble up newly emerging foliage totally and thus destroy the plant before it even comes out.

Coneflower will tolerate almost any soil type but boggy and highly acidic. It loves full sun. It is suitable for mixed borders with perennials or can be used as a flowering feature among low shrubs and conifers, and looks lovely when planted in a mass in a container on patios and balconies. Fully hardy to min. -30°C (USDA zone 5), possibly a few degrees lower.
