Gentiana 'Klegh12013' LUIS EASY BLUE hybrid autumn gentian, Japanese gentian

Gentiana
Gentian is one of the most beautiful perennials where the most sought-after varieties bear blue flowers. It’s because their blue is true blue, bluer than the ocean, darker than the summer sky, almost like indigo. The family consists of more than 400 species which often hybridize among themselves. One of the breeders who managed to obtain a very nice and at the same time easy-to-grow variety is Nils Klemm from Stuttgart, Germany, who has over 400 patents for new inventions of both perennials and annuals. The variety is called LUIS EASY BLUE and is protected by the following patents: PP26296 (USA - 2015), 41045 (Europe - 2015), and 33371 (GB - 2009).Gentian is a slow growing, mat-forming perennial requiring zero maintenance. Plant it in humus-rich, reliably moist but well-drained soil in full sun or only partial shade. Autumn flowering species require slightly acid soil. Hardy to about -29°C (USDA zone 5).
