Cranesbill is a genus comprising of about 300 species. It is commonly used as a ground-covering perennial which can quickly form a respectable carpet. When in full bloom it offers a solid, one-colour show which in mass plantings looks stunning. Thanks to low growth it mostly finds its place under trees and shrubs, as well as in mixed borders along with other perennials.
Description of the plant:
Rozanne® cranesbill was first introduced to horticultural public in 2000 and 8 years later it won a prestigious award Plant Of The Year. It boasts with large, 5-petalled, rich lilac-violet flowers from June until the last warm days of autumn. Very attractive basal leaves are mid green, widely palmate, distinctly lobed, and show some light green marbling. They change to orange and golden in autumn.

Rozanne is a reliable filler, it will fill large spaces in no time so unless you grow it for this reason control its size by occasional pruning (at any time). Cranesbills will grow in most, moderately fertile, garden soil types in full sun or partial shade. Hardy to about -34°C (USDA zone 4).
