Description of the plant:
Goldheart ivy is a very attractive climber with coloured leaves. They are mid-sized, very dark green at margins and deep yellow in the centres. Leaves on young plants are rather 3-lobed and get rounded as the plant matures. Branches produce aerial roots that cling to any surface (support). It is a bit slow to establish but when it does it grows reliably and medium fast, making a dense cover. This evergreen climber can be used against a wall, or as a ground-cover, or can be planted at a short wall with new shoots let hung over its top. For good leaf colour grow it in a location with at least some sun during the day. Ivies prefer alkaline, moist, semi-fertile soil that is well drained. Fully hardy to -29°C (USDA zone 5).
