Helen’s flower is an attractive perennial for summer and autumn borders. Newer cultivars are selected for extended blooming time or different colour play. Double Trouble® was bred by Dutch horticulturist Petrus Thomas Dames and patented as PP18206 in 2006.
Description of the plant:
Double Trouble® is another modern sneezeweed variety offering large inflorescence of semi double, bright yellow flowers. Blooming begins already in late July and continues until October. Stems are about 70 cm tall and if you looking for a shorter plant you can pinch them in late spring before the plants start making flower buds. Leaves are soft green, lanceolate, and appear along the stems as well as near the ground. The whole plant looks very joyful and healthy, ideal for cheering up a sunny border.

It will grow in almost soil type but prefers fertile, reasonably drained soil and full sun. It is recommended to divide every 2-4 years to encourage new roots and young plants. All parts of the plant may cause severe discomfort if eaten. Fully hardy to about -34°C (USDA zone 4).
