Description of the plant:
Melrose is an attractive and tasty late apple. It is a result of crossing Jonathan and Red Delicious. The apples are sweet and crunchy. Their colour is red. Ideal snack apple or for cooking. Tastes best about one month from picking. It can be stored until end February.

Apple trees should be pruned in mid-winter. Remove vertical branches and shorten side branches. Fruiting wood is mostly horizontal.

I tis a self-sterile variety and needs another apple variety for pollination. Suitable pollination partners are Fuji, Royal Gala, Granny Smith, James Grieve, Rubinette, Rubinola, Spartan, Starking. It is partially mildew resistant, and fully hardy.
