Description of the plant:
Common mallow is our native perennial which can be found on rocky meadows and in thin woodlands with enough sunlight. It is popular for its long-lasting flowering that commences in late spring and continues until the last warm and sunny days of autumn.

Primley Blue is a proven variety of common mallow with violet-blue flowers composed of 5 wedge-shaped petals forming a somewhat star-like look. Thick veins are a deeper violet colour and run from the centres to the petal margins. The flowers are sterile which increases their life span. Leaves are medium green and resemble cranesbills with their rounded, shallowly lobed shapes.

Mallow likes poor to medium fertile, well-drained soil but hates complete drought. It does best in full sun where it flowers freely. Hardy to about -30°C (USDA zone 5).
