Mock orange is a reliable and absolutely maintenance-free shrub of old European gardens. It is popular for its snow white, scented flowers.

Description of the plant:
Snowgoose variety comes from Canada and bears medium-sized flowers that are white with 4 tepals and creamy yellow stamens. Their fragrance is nice and sweet but very light as opposed to the species. It has compact, predominantly upright habit with less arching branches. Snowgoose grows slowly to about 1.5m only. Deciduous leaves are mid green and change to yellow in the autumn.

Being maintenance free the only job we might recommend is to remove old branches after flowering to keep it the plant young and rich. It is soil adaptable and does best in full sun. Fully hardy to minimum -34°C (USDA zone 4).
