Pine trees are superb trees which grow in a wide climate scale - from cold northern countries to hot coastal sites. They are probably most beautiful in their natural environment.Description of the plant:
Swiss stone pine is a beautiful one with dark green needles with a silvery stripe. So its overall appearance may seem a little turquoise. It grows slowly, forming a dense conifer with rather irregular growth when young and more or less pyramidal with age. Owing to its slow growth rate, similar to pinus leucodermis, it is ideal for mid-sized or even small gardens. Grow it in full sun, in poor to semi-fertile, well-drained soil. It hates waterlogging and fertilizing. Fully hardy to -34°C (USDA zone 4).
