“Hesse” is an excellent selection of dwarf mountain pines. It is a compact, mound-forming shrub with 7-8 cm long dark green needles which are slightly sinuate. That gives it a unique, uncombed appearance. It is soil tolerant and once established it lives happily even in drier conditions. As all other pines it needs full sun and well-drained soil.
