Pine trees are superb trees which grow in a wide climate scale - from cold northern countries to hot coastal sites. They are probably most beautiful in their natural environment.Description of the plant:
Mountain pines and dwarf pines are common conifers of our gardens. Their limited size and dense habit is often welcome in less spacious areas. Laurin is a slow growing variety of such dwarf mountain pine with short, dark green needles and mounding habit. It grows about 50 cm tall and twice as wide while keeping a rounded outline. It is a favourite variety for bonsai makers. Dwarf pines look nice in small front yards or combined with taller shrubs and small trees where they help to fill the lower space. They are ideal for larger rockeries, containers on patios, and look great when surrounded by white sand or pebbles. Pines need full sun and well-drained soil that will not be too alkaline, no fertilizing required. Fully hardy to about -40°C (USDA zone 3).
