The best fruit always comes from your own garden, when you can pick it up on a hot, sunny day. We are pleased to offer this early variety of peach tree which we trialled, tasted, and rated as one of the best early peach trees ever.Description of the plant:
Springtime peach produces incredibly sweet, fragrant, juicy, and white-fleshed fruit that ripens already in July. The peaches are medium large to large, clingstone, and mature in July. No storage possible. Young trees are not strong enough to keep all fruit from pollinated blooms so select the biggest few and let the tree strengthen the first couple of years (thinning). It flowers in mid-season in zone 6, and early in zone 7. We suggest planting it in open areas so it can feel the cold, spring breeze which will delay flowering and thus prevent the flowers from frost damage is opened too early.
Peach trees like slightly alkaline soil, moist but well drained. Do not transplant bare-root trees in autumn, only in spring. Pruning is possible in mid August – cut long branches to half and remove weak ones. Reliably hardy to -27°C.
