Ribes uva-crispa (r.grossularia) + ODRŮDY gooseberry

Ribes
CULTIVATIONGooseberry is an old-fashioned fruit species of European origin which is widely cultivated in England, parts of Germany and a lot in former Czechoslovakia. It is available as shrub that grows 1-2 m tall, or grafted in short stems which makes harvesting easier. It bears lobed, deciduous leaves and sharp thorn along the branches. The fruit ripens in summer when it is soft to touch. It will grow in almost any soil but we recommend planting it in humus-rich, moist but free draining, non-stony soil in full sun or a very light shade. Fully hardy to zone 5.
Captivator - midseason, almost thornfree variety with rich red, mid-sized, sweet fruit of a very good taste. Late July to early August. Very resistant to mildew. Upright, moderate to fast growth, average yield.
Invicta is an early variety from England producing yellow-green fruit of good flavour, not prone to cracking. The taste is medium sweet, stronger than in red varieties but not acidic. It is a heavy and reliable cropper. Disease resistant.
Karát - Czech midseason variety (late July). Mid-sized to large, drop-shaped fruit of rich red, crunchy skin, sweet with mild acidity, juicy. Disease resistant, vigorous growth, and high yield.
Niesluchowski - ultimately the best red variety we have ever grown. Small to mid-sized, rouunded fruit of rich wine red colour earliest of all - harvest begins from first decade of July and can last for almost 4 weeks without rotting on the shrub as the fruit does not ripen uniformly. Very sweet and full taste, and totally disease free growth. Upright, somewhat slower growth, spiny branches, but highest yield of all.
Prima® - early to midseason (mid July) Czech y with light green to slightly golden fruit with mild acidity. Vigorous grower, high yielder. Almost totally disease free.
Reflamba is a German midseason variety with yellow-green, almost rounded fruit of great taste -mildly without acids. It crops heavily and reliably and is resistant to diseases.
Resistenta® is a productive gooseberry variety with honey-sweet taste of yellow, aromatic, mid-sized fruit in August. It is very resistant to powdery mildew.
HINNONMÄKI are Finish varieties. There are three versions available: GUL with yellow fruit, RÖD is red, and GRÖN is green. All of them produce high yields of sweet, aromatic, mid-sized fruit in August. The plants have upright branches which is a good advantage for picking up. Good mildew resistance.
Remarka is an early variety producing medium large, deep burgundy red fruit in July. The taste is sweet with a hint of sharpness.
