Description of the plant:
Golden Showers is a short climber of many virtues. The blooms are large, open and semi-double and of a golden-yellow which fades to a light yellow; the petals then dropping quickly and cleanly. Individual blooms may be of no exceptional beauty but they are produced very freely and continuously throughout the season, providing a good splash of colour. They have a sweet fragrance. Disease resistance is generally good. Almost thornless and grows well on a North wall. Extremely reliable in most climates.Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.
Pruning: rambling or climbing roses are not supposed to be pruned. Just remove old or ill branches. Deadheading will help setting new flower buds.
