Rosa 'Kormahensi' OLOMOUC - KÖLNER FLORA® shrub rose / floribunda (Kordes)

KÖLNER FLORA® is a shrub rose, a cross between an English rose Geoff Hamilton and an unnamed seedling. The result is half-way between a hybrid tea rose and a floribunda rose, and it flowers reliably and repeatedly from June until October. It boasts beautiful, fully double, medium pink flowers releasing a strong, anise, myrrh, and fruity sweet scent. It belongs to the Heckenzauber® collection comprising of upright and bushy shrub roses ideal for hedging. Leaves are healthy, medium green, and glossy. Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes in 2003 and US patent No. PP27924 was granted in 2017.
Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.
Pruning: Cut the branches by about a half in autumn and prune hard to 3-5 live buds in spring after all frosts. Spent flowers are best removed as they begin to fade. Cut off spent flowering clusters just above the leaf with 5 leaflets or deeper if rejuvenating is desired during vegetation and follow a regular feeding programme.
