Description of the plant:
Marie Rottrová is a famous Czech pop singer whose singing carrier dates from late 1960’s until today (2013). She accepted to give her name to a new beautiful rose bred by Kordes Rosen, Germany, in 2011. This floribunda/polyantha shrub rose makes lovely bi-coloured blossoms from June until early autumn. The petals are creamy white on the outside and rich velvety rosy-red on the inside. There is no fragrance, still, this rose offers exceptionally healthy foliage and good hardiness. It makes a well-branched, upright, strong shrub 50-60 cm tall. Awarded ADR in 2009.

Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.

Pruning: These roses needn’t be pruned. What you can do though is deadhead stems with spent flowers above the first leaf with 5 leaflets. You can trim the shrub in early spring.
