Description of the plant:
ROCK & ROLL™ (do not mistake it for Rock’n’roll) is a floribunda shrub rose bred by Tom Carruth from California, USA, in 2006 as a cross between varieties George Burns™ and New Zealand. It is a bicoloured large-flowered rose producing 12-14 cm across double flowers combining ruby red and white stripes. They bear a strong, damask to citrus-like fragrance and bloom repeatedly in several flushes from June until October. Deciduous leaves are medium green, glossy, and mostly tolerant of common diseases. It grows into upright shrubs up to 140-160 cm tall with long canes suitable for cut flowers. Patent No. PP20936 was granted in 2010.

Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.

Pruning: Cut the branches by about a half in autumn and prune hard to 3-5 live buds in spring after all frosts. Spent flowers are best removed as they begin to fade. Cut off spent flowering clusters just above the leaf with 5 leaflets or deeper if rejuvenating is desired during vegetation and follow a regular feeding programme.
