Description of the plant:
Westzeit® is another fantastic novelty from 2004. It is a compact rose that is ideal for growing both as a shrub and a standard rose as it keeps its shape and size when made into a crown on top of a short stem. It produces abundance of deep apricot orange flowers on the background of deep green foliage. The leaves emerge rich burgundy red and change to deep olive green when mature. In the autumn the foliage turns burgundy red again and in spite of being deciduous the leaves remain on the plant for an incredible long time. Westzeit® repeats flowering from June until November and is disease-free. Awarded ADR in 2007.Planting instructions: Plant it in the same level as it is now in the container. Provide a good support for the stem. Water it well and mulch it for winter. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. If you live in a region with harsh and long winters protect the crown and the grafting point with white woven.
Pruning: In spring after danger of all frosts prune the crown lightly to form a solid framework, and remove ill, dry and weak branches.
