VARIETIES

Idaeus is the botanical species of raspberry producing slightly oval, rich pink-red fruit that is very aromatic, medium sweet, and its juice has a rich colour. It matures in early July is best eaten fresh, either off the bush or in fruit salads or smoothies. It can be canned, frozen, or made into jams.

Apricot is midseason or twice fruiting variety with apricot orange fruit. They are mid-sized, very sweet without raspberry acidity. Two ways of pruning.

Autumn Bliss is a late or twice fruiting variety making delicious red fruit. It is medium-sized to large, sweet and aromatic, fully ripen it has burgundy red colour. Two ways of pruning.

Black Jewel is a unique variety of raspberry with deep burgundy purple, almost black fruit. It has excellent, typical raspberry flavour, just a little stronger compared to wild raspberry. The canes grow fast about 1.2m tall.

Fallgold is a late or twice fruiting variety of red raspberry. The fruit is light golden-yellow and has excellent, super sweet taste. Two ways of pruning.

Golden Everest is a variety with yellow fruit. It is large, aromatic and very sweet. Fruit is made in one-year old wood and ripens from early August and continues until autumn.

Heritage is an old American late or twice fruiting variety with small to mid-sized, red fruit of excellent taste. It produces strong, robust, upright canes, easy to harvest. Two ways of pruning. Second crop lasts from August until October.

Himbo Top® is a popular variety which bears fruit all summer long until early autumn. The fruit is large, red, sweet and aromatic. It produces fruit on new canes so cut back all stems to the ground in November.

LITTLE RED PRINCESS® is a compact or almost dwarf variety with about 1m long canes. Thanks to limited size it is ideal for growing in pots on patios and balconies if you don't have a garden. Fruit is large, red, and appears on last year's as well as this year's canes.

Malling Promise is one of the first to fruit in early summer. It produces masses of rosy red raspberries in June and July. The fruit is firm, aromatic, medium sweet. It will thrive in poor soils. Disease resistant.

Sanibelle® is a medium late variety of raspberry producing large fruits. The berries deep pink-red, slightly elongated, firm, strongly aromatic and sweet with a mild acidity. It ripens from mid-July. It is resistant to phytophthora disease and tolerates poor soils well.

Schönemann is a late variety with very good and sweet fruit and excellent yield. The berries are said to be large but we rate them as mid-sized, and they mature from late August until the first frosts. one of the first to fruit in early summer. It grows fast and makes strong, upright canes.

Tulameen is possibly the most wide-spread commercially cultivated red-fruit variety of today. It makes large, conical, firm, juicy, and sweet fruit with extended shelf life and better resistance to disease. It originated in Canada and was introduced in 1990.

Twotimer® Sugana® is a Lubera® introduction of late or twice fruiting variety with red berries. They are extra-large, almost twice the size of a one-euro coin, very tasty and firm. It grows fast and produces robust, upright canes. Two ways of pruning.

Zeva II is a medium early variety maturing from late June until late July. It produces rather chubby, red fruit of great quality in good soil – this variety requires more moisture than others, and hot June for high yield. In bad weather the crop is average. Origin: Switzerland.
