Description of the plant:
Skimmia is a very nice small shrub, often used as a groundcover. It comes from Japan and the Himalayas. It needs a shady spot or a semi-shade as it loses leaf colour and suffers from sunburn in full sun. In the spring it has clusters of tiny fragrant flowers. It needs well cultivated, permeable, acidic soil, preferably moist. It is a perfect plant under tall trees or shrubs, or along shaded paths. „Rubella“ is a male variety with larger leaves and richer blossoms, and works as a pollinator for female plants. It is very hardy if kept away from winter and spring sunburn.SIZES and PRICES

- STANDARD (as described in the plant form) means a tree with a trunk of 190-210 cm and a crown at the top, unless specified differently. The commercial size for trees is their girth measured in the height of 1m from ground.
- HOBBY - These plants are of the same quality as our standard-quality plants but younger and therefore cheaper.
- SHRUB - a woody plant with branches growing bushy from the ground level.
