Description of the plant:
False spirea is a valuable plant for small sized gardens as it quickly fills limited space with mass of beautiful leaves.

It is a woody plant spreading with suckers like some perennials. Its leaves are fresh green during summer, pinnate, and look like service-tree leaves but are finer and prettier. When young they are rich pink or purple, slowly changing to yellowish-green.

Flowers come out in mid summer. They are upright panicles are upto 25 cm long, composed of small, spirea-like, white flowers that attract butterflies and other insects.

Thanks to its limited size this variety is a perfect choice for rockeries, borders and patio pots. It grows about 1m tall and wide.

It is soil adaptable but prefers humus rich, moist soil and position in full sun. Absolutely hardy to -45°C (USDA zone 2).
