Lilacs are common and reliable shrubs of our climate. So it is clear that we will not offer you something that can be seen at every corner, but speciality plants that look a bit different and bring something extraordinary to your beautiful garden.
Description of the plant:
TINKERBELLE® is a trade name for a dwarf lilac that was bred by Neal S. Holland from North Dakota, USA, in 1985, and patented in 1999 under PP12,294. It is a cross between syringa meyeri Palibin and syringa microphylla Superba. TINKERBELLE® is unique for its massive blooming from late May until mid June. It forms upright panicles of tubular, sweetly fragrant, pale pink flowers opening from rich salmon pink buds. Deciduous leaves are broadly elliptic, short, fresh green.

It grows very slowly, forming a dense, upright shrub, flowering profusely every spring. Pruning is not recommended, just deadheading will help in order to keep the plant tidy after flowering.

Lilacs can be grown in many soil types. For best result use reasonably fertile, moist but well-drained soil, preferably neutral or alkaline. Full sun for profuse flowering. It is very hardy to -40°C (USDA zone 3) and is suitable for outdoor pots.
