Description of the plant:
Nodding lilac bears pure pink flowers that are formed in hanging panicles. Individual flowers are tubular and open from deep pink buds. They have a sweet scent.Oval leaves are mid green, 15 cm long, deciduous. This lilac grows about 3m tall and has arching branches so give it some space in your garden. Pruning is not recommended. If you need to trim or re-juvenate the plant do so immediately after flowering.
Lilacs can be grown in many soil types. For best result use reasonably fertile, moist but well-drained soil, preferably neutral or alkaline. Full sun for profuse flowering. Fully hardy to -40°C (USDA zone 5).
