Abies koreana 'BRILLANT' dwarf Korean fir

It is a dwarf Korean fir named “Brillant”. It is a compact and almost ground-covering evergreen shrub, growing not more than 4 cm a year. With its slow growth it appears rather motion-less. But it looks just gorgeous. The needles are short and densely cover the plant. They are bright green when young, turning light green during summer with silvery grey underneath.
It can make about 20 cm in 10 years and remains very compact which makes it highly suitable for small gardens, rockeries, or planting in large pots on patios or even balconies. It is absolutely maintenance-free. Just plant it in slightly acidic soil and keep it moist the first year so it can establish good root system. Fully hardy.
