Description of the plant:
Molli is a dwarf variety of Korean fir from late 20th century. It is a compact, smaller version of common Korean fir with rich green, short, glossy needles with silver-grey film underneath. It grows slowly and develops a more or less regular conical shape. It always has a central leader giving it a typical appearance of a fir tree, just much smaller. Lateral branches grow upright, and are held at an angle of about 45°.

Molli does not reach much taller than 2m tall and about 1,5m wide. Thanks to limited size it is ideal for small gardens, front yards, and outdoor containers. 15 year-old plant can measure a little over 1m hence its higher price in nurseries. It does best in filtered sun or full sun planted in equally moist soil that does not dry out. For best results grow it in slightly acidic or neutral, well-drained, not compacted soil. Fully hardy to min. -29°C (USDA zone 5).
