Description of the plant:
Terracotta is a typical Mediterranean pot material. Translated literally it means “baked soil” and looking at this yarrow it is clear to understand why its breeder chose this name. Terracotta yarrow produces flat corymbs of small flowers that open up deep orange, change to golden yellow, and finish as sandy yellow. New flowers are produced continually over a long period so you can enjoy multiple colours on one plant. Fern-like leaves are fine and deep green, basal leaves are larger than stem leaves. The stems grow 30-40 cm tall.
Yarrow is a maintenance-free perennial suitable for standard flower beds as well as dry locations and rockeries. It tolerates wide range of soils except for boggy and wet. Full sun is best. Fully hardy to about -40°C (USDA zone 3).
