COREY YELLOW is an eye-catching variety of coreopsis with attractive flowers. They have golden yellow rays and crimson red or almost brown eye around a golden centre. Deadheading will enhance the flowering but is not a must. It flowers abundantly every year. Its leaves are light green, lanceolate, wider than on thread-leaved varieties. The desirable advantage of this variety is that it is not invasive and does not seed itself around like some of the other species. It forms a dense and compact clump.Coreopsis will grow in almost any soil apart from boggy and heavy clay, and as it withstands drought it is popular for rockeries. Making it a glowing feature in your perennial garden bed is the reasonable and expected way of using it.
