If there is a perennial heaven, there must be plenty of blanket flowers. This is such a beautiful flowering plant that should not be missing in any bed where bright colours and summer flowering are key features.Description of the plant:
SUNBURST ORANGE comes from a new Sunburst range of blanket flowers. These plants offer compact habit and profuse flowering. Sunburst Orange bears golden yellow flowers with yellow centres that have a rich orange corolla. The stalks are short, about 20-25 cm. Deciduous leaves are light green. Blanket flower blooms from June until end July, respectively until end of August if deadheaded regularly. Still, growers recommend pruning it hard in midsummer after the strongest flowering phase to secure second flowering in autumn and to extend its life since blanket flowers are short-lived perennials left to their own devices. Place in in full sun and make sure the soil is free draining – in boggy soil it will most certainly die. Hardy to about -40°C (USDA zone 3).
