Over the years of hard breeding work Terra Nova® Nurseries from Canby in Oregon, USA, have become a synonym for heucheras thanks to their skilful breeder Janet N. Egger. There are so many that the breeder decided to make collections and series composed of varieties with similar characteristics. LITTLE CUTIES™ is a great name for those of shorter growth and obviously handsome foliage or pretty flowers.
Description of the plant:
Blondie coral bells produces amber orange to caramel-coloured, evergreen leaves with shallowly lobed margins. Their colour is more caramel at the top and paler to almost chartreuse at the bottom. From midsummer during the hottest days they turn dark green with maroon hues. From late spring rise only about 20 cm tall, orange stems topped with very attractive, dense panicles composed of tiny, butter yellow flowers. Blondie seems to never stop blooming until late summer under good conditions. It is a fast-growing perennial and exhibits a low, mounding habit. Blondie was bred by Janet Egger and granted these patens: PP24564 (USA, 2014) and EU39448 (Europe, 2015).

Coral bells can take almost any soil with ample moisture and good drainage. They do best in partial shade or filtered sun, however, if you make sure they will not dry out you can place them in full sun, too. They can also live in dark shade where their colours will not be too rich, such location is usually best for light coloured varieties. Cut off all leaves in early spring to encourage growth of new foliage. This series is fully hardy to abt. -34 °C (USDA zone 4), and suitable for outdoor pots.
