Description of the plant:
Rubinola is a midseason apple tree variety producing excellent fruit of fine flavour. It was bred in the Czech Republic and registered in 1997. The apples are medium large or large, very attractive red or red-striped, aromatic and juicy. The flesh is medium sweet, creamy white and crispy. The skin is quite thin and becomes a little greasy after some time of storage. It tastes good when eaten fresh off the tree in late September, matures in November, and stores until March.Rubinola apple tree grow moderately and doesn’t require pruning. Being self-sterile it needs another pollinator for heavy crop, such as Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, Golden Reinette, Granny Smith, James Grieve + Red, Kent, Melrose, Opal, Pinova, Rajka, Rubinette, Spartan, Starking, and Topaz. Hardy to min. -29°C (USDA zone 5) and suitable for all regions including colder ones.
