Potentilla

Cinquefoil is a popular plant in gardens of various sizes and is often found in city parks and arboretums. They have several flower colours and thanks to zero maintenance they can be planted almost anywhere.
Description of the plant:
Goldteppich is a cinquefoil variety with deep yellow flowers that look large against the background of small, mid green, deciduous leaves. It grows as a low, prostrate shrub, suitable for small gardens, too, or along pathways, and in between taller shrubs or trees.

Cinquefoil grows best in well-drained, poor or moderately fertile soil in full sun. For compact habit long shoots should be removed in spring and the whole shrub clipped by about a third. It does not need extra fertilizing or watering once established. Fully hardy to abt. -40°C (USDA zone 3) and is suitable for outdoor pots down to zone 5.
