Rosa 'REBELL'® standard rose by KORDES

Rebell® is a Kordes tea hybrid rose with fascinationg shade of deep but yet soft red colour. The blooms are large, about 11 cm across, double and slightly scented. They repeat flowering throughout summer. Stems are strong and erect which makes it a great cut rose. Reasonably disease-resistant. The crown grows 60-80 cm tall and 40 cm wide.

Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.

Pruning: In colder regions (zones 6 and lower) before winter tie up the branches carefully and wrap them in white woven, the grafting point on the top of the stem must be covered too. It is recommended to overwrap the stem with jute. In the spring, after danger of strong frost, cut the branches by about a third to create a desired crown shape. To support extra flowering during the season remove twigs past blossom: cut them off to the first leaf with 5 bracts. Mulch the bottom graft well before winter, preferably with leaf-mould.
