Description of the plant:
In 1987 Kordes Rosen introduced a brand new colour to their collection of climbing roses: warm red. Salita® rose is occasionally called orange red, yet we suggest to stick to warm or soft red that is not royal red or velvety burgundy. Just a brilliant and vivid red visible from half a mile at least. Typical tea rose shape makes you think of old roses but repeated flowering undoubtedly leads you to modern breeding with benefits. Leaves are medium green, partly glossy, partly prone to black spot and quite tolerant to mildew. Salita® is a vigorous grower reaching about 3m.

Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.

Pruning: rambling or climbing roses are not supposed to be pruned. Just remove old or ill branches. Deadheading will help setting new flower buds.
