Description of the plant:
Sympathie® is an old favourite among climbing roses from Kordes. It produces profusion of medium-sized, double flowers of deep red, velvety flowers whose colour does not turn paler during blooming. They show up continuously throughout summer and are intensely fragrant and resistant to rain. This rose is a robust and vigorous grower reaching about 3m tall and 1.5m wide in maturity. Leaves are fairly resistant to black spot and very resistant to mildew. Awarded ADR in 1966.Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.
Pruning: rambling or climbing roses are not supposed to be pruned. Just remove old or ill branches. Deadheading will help setting new flower buds.
